The countdown is on until UFC 200 takes place and the Daniel Cormier v Jon Jones headliner plus support card is set to be one of the craziest and most-watched sporting events in history.
There’s something about fit AF units smashing the shit out of each other that is utterly appealing, even if it’s not the predicted Diaz v McGregor rematch we’d been counting.
Stuff you and your “retirement” you Irish prick McGregor.
Still, there’s lots to be excited about as Light Heavyweight hero Cormier, who is a former Olympic wrestler to boot, takes on former champion Jon Jones a.k.a. “Bones” who is after the hit-and-run.
Sidenote, Cormier’s life might have been marred by a number of tragedies but he does have a brother named Ferral. Win.
Another event on the official UFC 200 fight card that might have slipped under your radar like the NBA Championship did from the hands of the Warriors this week is the Women’s Bantamweight title between Miesha Tate and Amanda Nunes.
Aside from the fact Tate is a confirmed hottie, the other reason this fight has caught our attention is the US$1 million bet famous sports punter “Vegas Dave” has placed on the match.
Dave Oancear is making history with this biggest wager in sports betting history, on paper, and has it all on Tate to retain the title.
He got it right with Holm over Rousey and McGregor over Aldo, so can he do it again and clean up?
We don’t really care who wins and whether Dave enjoys his nearly $2 million return.
The real battle is our Poll of the Week between the aforementioned Ronda “Rowdy” Rousey and Tate.
Rousey might have gone pretty quiet since her first UFC loss to Holly Holm, but she’s still one of the tidiest female athletes kicking (literally) about.
Is she hotter than Miesha Tate though whose nickname “Cupcake” has us just dying to take a bite?
