This weekend I’ve got to remember not to write myself off too bad on Friday night and forget to head to the polls to vote for which dickhead pollie I “want” to be the Prime Minister of Australia.
It’s really a case of choosing which of the Williams sisters you want to take on in an arm wrestle, neither. But alas lads, we’ve got to vote and the one thing helping ease the boredom of the Federal Election is that you can bet on the result!
That’s right. Bookies, those seemingly unlovable bastards, have added juicy rain drops to the dryness of the Australian political scene by opening markets on the Coalition vs the ALP plus a host of other election odds.
So it’s become more a case of not who you should vote for, but who you should back for the win punting wise! Will it be reigning PM Malcom “Rich Boy” Turnbull or the opposition’s Bill “Union Thug” Shorten?
Either way the average Aussie and this great old land we live on are probably rooted. So to ease the pain of realising whoever our new PM is, they’ll be as out of touch as the buttons on Clive Palmer’s business shirts, we’ve got a ripper Joke of the Week that is sure to get your vote!
Two Aussie politicians go out to lunch together. In the middle of lunch one of them jumps up and says, “Bugger. I forgot to lock the office safe before we left.”
The other pollie replies, “No worries. We’re both here.”
